Fire & water damage
Smoke, soot and smoke staining
Smoke travels further than fire: through partitions and ventilation ducts.
The rooms the fire never touched
A fire confined to one room often dirties the whole floor: smoke passes through doors, ducts and ventilation, leaving a greasy black film on walls, ceilings, fabrics and the insides of cupboards. The deposit is heaviest high up, where nobody looks.
Cleaning is done dry first — a damp sponge on soot spreads and fixes it — then with a product suited to the surface. We also treat the ventilation grilles, often forgotten, which push the smell back out for months if left as they are.
