Glass surfaces
Shop windows and frontages
The window is the shop's first salesperson: it is redone every week.
What passers-by see first
A shop window gets dirty quickly and from the bottom up: splashes from the street, children's handprints, dust stuck on by morning damp. We go over the glass, the frames, the base of the window and the entrance door, plus the sign where it can be reached from the ground.
The round happens before opening, weekly in most Marseille shops and sometimes twice a week on the busiest streets. It is a modest cost set against what it protects: the first impression your shop makes.
