Glass surfaces
Shutters, blinds and railings
What frames the window gets dirty faster than the window itself.
Slat by slat
A roller shutter, louvre or external blind is cleaned slat by slat: dust settles there as a greasy layer that the mistral sticks down and the rain never fully rinses off. We also clear the runners, where the build-up eventually slows the mechanism.
Balcony railings get the same treatment: in Marseille, sea air marks metal and leaves a salt film that dulls the paint. One visit a year, usually combined with the window cleaning, is enough to keep it all in hand.
